The problem with that comparison is that Azhar has demonstrated ability to score runs against other attacks in different conditions too..he has scored runs in the turning tracks of Sri Lanka where Vogues looked like a rank amateur, and he has scored runs in England where Vogues averages 28.
So yes this knock itself might get written off in CW discussion because of the attack, as a player Azhar has enough knocks for CW to take seriously.

That being said, the bowling attack is not necessarily worse than last year's. Bishoo is a better test spinner and he was turning the ball from Day 1, something spinners won't necessarily find in Australia. Cummins and Gabriel are a better pair than Taylor-Roach last year. Taylor was nearing the end of his career and Roach is just finished as a bowler. Gabriel and Cummins on the other hand have shown glimpses of potential over the last few months and Gabriel really bowled well yesterday, Poor captaincy, poor reviews and fielding let down the bowling heavily as well.
