That’s exactly what should happen - they should be shipped on as soon as it’s apparent they aren’t capable of higher honours

Appalling reception for the world’s greatest player here.

That would only work if we has a production line of 6'6 145+ firebreathing monsters ala the glory days of the West Indies. But meanwhile back here in the real world, there is nowhere near enough depth to even consider such a thing.

Nah that’s not the case. If blokes get a shot for a few seasons and it becomes apparent they aren’t turning heads for higher honours, then they should be there warming the seat until a young bloke comes along who looks like they might have what it takes, and they get a shot.

And by that I mean they’ve performed at the next level down (first grade or second XI) and have earned a shot at a call up

In theory, there is some truth in that.

But back to the original point, if you think Behrendorff isn't Shield calibre then you are clearly vastly overestimating the quality of the average Shield bowler. That was a complete junk comment, not founded in reason or reality.

Darsh. Dead set not worth a squirt of piss. That ball should still be going up

130/3 at half way isn't exactly hell for leather but it's... okay?

BBC comms are shitting all over this Australia innings, but in the other game India are 100/7.

Just be happy for a tune up I’d reckon. They still haven’t sorted the top three - one of Khawaja or Darsh is surplus to requirements I think. If Khawaja plays, there’s then the issue of whether he or Warner bats three.

reading cricinfo comments from fans in games vs India is one of lifes great pleasures. Particularly like the one from the bloke implying NZ is peaking too soon when we havent even batted at all since like March

This total will pose no challenge for England. You got to send them in first to beat them I reckon

Would be quietly extraordinary if Smith had a gun tournament having not played a proper game in a year and not having done anything remotely of note in ODI cricket since, well, the last WC

Would be unlike a top shelf Australian player to peak for a WC...

It’s like he hasn’t missed a game. Footwork and balance all there, and so much time it’s just not fair
