Stoinis could have made it interesting by not stopping when called for the second. So glad he’s out. Hopefully he doesn’t play, but it weakens the bowling a lot of he doesn’t. Maybe he needs to bat below Carey so he knows to stop pretending he’s an actual batsman.

His bowling is pretty crap. Will surely get smashed on these decks all cup long. Could possibly just play NCN as the second AR as he's hitting them better than Stoinis atm.

they have almost no flexibility to drop Stonis

- drop Stonis to fit in Marsh/Usman, etc = rely on Maxwell/Finch/Smith to put together 10 overs
- drop Stonis to fit in a 5th proper bowler = rely on Carey at 6 and NCN/Cummins/Starc at 7, 8, 9

it's why I wanted MMarsh in the squad and thought they were was a fair case to consider Handscomb as the keeper

Maxwell will play and bat five I think. They probably need them to bowl ten between them tbh, neither being good enough to consistently get through a full allotment themselves.
