A year or so before you arrived on the scene, I really did try to put together the bare bones of a few ideas that were humerus - partly for my own amusement, partly to give others a bit of a chuckle. Not just snide remarks, but genuine attempts to write clever comedy spoofs.

Eventually, I ran out of motivation and elbowed it aside. There's one or two who would like me to try again, so I'm going to have a bash at doing something during the England tour of Pakistan.

I'll leave it to you to decide after I've got back into practice whether I need to send marc71178 a cheque.

Why leave it to me? I'm just one person. And besides, there's nothing wrong with your diaries - which I've had a read through. Marc's comment sounded like his tongue was firmly lodged in an unseemly part of your anatomy, that's all.

And if my "snide remarks" don't impress you? No skin off my back.

Woah, woah. Steady on there, sunshine. I think you've missed the point. Actually, I think you've missed the blunt as well, but that's probably because I didn't explain myself all that well.

I seriously and without trying to be funny* at all tried to explain to you the dilemma I was going through - and the 'snide remarks' I referred to were my own, not yours. I don't know whether I'm funny any more (to tell the truth, I don't know whether I ever was).

*Well, just a BIT funny. I spoke about 'bare bones' and then being 'humerus'. On reflection, perhaps more 'cringeworthy' than 'funny'.

Mmmmmmm, Marc's tongue.

There are two pictures in that article. One shows a left arm Aussie bowling

Another shows an aussie batsman. (apart from the 3rd picture showing Cooper)

Is any one of them you Jack? :)
Yes, the second picture is me bowling to Piyush Chawla.

And also, to you who read any Melbourne newspaper, don't read the games tomorrow. We got taken downtown on Cup Day - Brad Hodge took the proverbial, scored 135 and went out in the 30th over. He seriously was on track to make 250 in a one-day game. And Liam Buchanan went nuts - 70 odd off 44 balls. As such, my figures ended up 1/58 off 6 overs. LOL! Just an embarrassment.

Taking some tap from a guy on the cusp of his first Test and having been on the fringes for the Aussie side for over ten years is no embarrassment, Jack. So who was your one wicket? It was Hodge caught on the fence, wasn't it? :D

Don't even pretend you're :shy: about that! You got Brad Hodge out buddy, we all know you're celebrating inside. :p :D

On a more serious note, congrats mate, the fact that you're against players of his calibre means you're clearly going places with your cricket. Good luck with it in the future - except against England in the 2013 Ashes, of course! :D

Haha yeah Jack, I whipped open the herald sun, saw Camberwell, then saw McNamara 6-0-57-1.. hahaha.. and Hodge, b McNamara.. nice work. Did you talk to him after? Or was he just upset at going out to a left arm orthdox?

Jack is indeed in great company, since he is following in the footsteps of the great Rikki Clarke....

Top work to you too.

My famous dismissals don't rate in such company (Clive Inman, Garry Birtles, John Kettley).
