Very interesting read indeed.
If anyone was reading, Jack was mentioned in sports section of The Sunday Age in Darren Berry's column.

Nice Jack!

It's not just White who requires Warne to invest some of his valuable time. Rookie contracted player Josh Mangan, a promising young leggie from Melbourne, took his first five-wicket haul last weekend in Premier Cricket and will benefit greatly from Warne's wisdom. There are others, Jack McNamara (Camberwell Magpies) and Jon Holland (Carlton), two talented young left-arm finger spinners who will make an impression in the coming years with the guidance the spin king can offer.

Agreed.

Promising left-arm twirly - I think he needs a better name though, as opposed to 'Jack' or 'Vic'. Something to make him stand out from the rest.

How's about 'Giles'?

No matter how long you live, you won't build up enough humour in your live to come close to just one of DD's diaries.

There was an article in India's best selling (and only weekly) sports magazine (which is filled with 50% cricket I might add) on Australia's under 19 tour of India.

I think I will try and find the online copy of it.

[edit] Here is the online copy of the article http://www.tssonnet.com/tss2844/stories/20051029001603000.htm

I dont see Jack's name but he may be interested reading about it.

No doubt, I guess I'm just not the type of guy who makes internet diaries. Shucks, some guys just get all the luck :p

There are two pictures in that article. One shows a left arm Aussie bowling

Another shows an aussie batsman. (apart from the 3rd picture showing Cooper)

Is any one of them you Jack? :)

A year or so before you arrived on the scene, I really did try to put together the bare bones of a few ideas that were humerus - partly for my own amusement, partly to give others a bit of a chuckle. Not just snide remarks, but genuine attempts to write clever comedy spoofs.

Eventually, I ran out of motivation and elbowed it aside. There's one or two who would like me to try again, so I'm going to have a bash at doing something during the England tour of Pakistan.

I'll leave it to you to decide after I've got back into practice whether I need to send marc71178 a cheque.
