Cricketer Of The Year
Pretty **** in the Greenidge years too as he pumped a double hundred while hung over.
Everybody knows Chris Gayle is a championWas Gayle ever not baked? Didn't stop him from becoming Universe Boss.
Agree or cry.Gooch>Lara
Guess I should post this in unpopular cricket opinions.
Less athletic, certainly. Always difficult to compare eras however I recall a 1950s player quoted in one of the Stephen Chalke books as saying ‘modern players are fitter, but we were tougher’. Given 6 days a week County schedules, faster over rates, uncovered wickets and lack of protective equipment I think the opinion has validity. If true, regardless of how talented someone like Sobers was, stories like that only suggest the standard of cricket back then was pretty terrible.
@CoronisImran and Sobers are easily better cricketers than Bradman.
That Day @kyear2 made a foe and a friend,
And they turned out to be the same person in the end.
You mean a literal single thread that was posted by mistake, requested to be moved and eventually so happened as well??Except some people keeping posting comparison threads in main forum and even mods like pews respond as normal posts, even thought they are not supposed to be allowed?
Yeah @Prince EWS get your act together! Don’t disrespect the office!Except some people keeping posting comparison threads in main forum and even mods like pews respond as normal posts, even though they are not supposed to be allowed?

Don't think this is unpopular now. Some batting comparisons like Kohli vs Younis/Compton/Harvey/Boycott might beKohli is an ATVG at best.
Fixed.Younis Khan was quite underrated
I rate Younis Khan above Kohli when it comes to playing any kind of lateral movement, be it turn, seam movement or swing. But yes, Kohli is a greater cricketer, which brings me to that subshakerz thread.Don't think this is unpopular now. Some batting comparisons like Kohli vs Younis/Compton/Harvey/Boycott might be
