U19 Debutant
Zimbabwe tour could be an interesting one Afghanistan currently 580/3 looks like an absolute road
He can bosh a six.Jeez, those Finn Allen highlights from last night. He really is a special talent, which makes his lack of progress since 2021 all the more frustrating.
Got a link to that info?No Bevan Jacob's or nathan Smith tomorrow
Santner confirms they are sticking with the same side.Got a link to that info?
So dumbNo Bevan Jacob's or nathan Smith tomorrow
ready, steady, don't goWhy pick someone with no intention of playing them even in a dead rubber t20
Not resting Henry for this dead rubber ahead of the three ODIs in which he will be pivotal is downright insane. He's played three tests in three weeks, is 33, and is absolutely key to our bowling hopes in the important formats. No Bevan Jacob's or nathan Smith tomorrow
In fairness, isn't Stead having time off in this series and Ronchi is in charge?ready, steady, don't go
This is another issue with our compliant, part-time cricket media. It's not getting asked as to why the hell they've played the same XI three times and not used the wider squad in a 'dead rubber' match, especially when one is uncapped. I know the answer already - we want to win every game - but that is complete crap in a format where the result has no longevity. People at the ground the other night didn't even know what the score was (I say with full seriousness).Tbh, I don't care about Smith. He will presumably get 3 ODIs. But Jacobs will go back to super smash.
Yeah I don't have an issue with that, I'm playing the man over the ball in his situation. A guy who could be anything in the shorter forms of the game, and even the longest with effort, but doesn't want to try too hard. I find it incredibly frustrating and that's what leads to the criticism of the way he bats.I've said it before and I'll say it again, I don't mind the Allen-prototype opener at all in T20s. Yes I'd prefer him to have a closer look for swing in his first 2-3 deliveries faced but even if he comes off once every 4 innings or so, he'll likely win his side the game when he does.
just nzc thingsWhy pick someone with no intention of playing them even in a dead rubber t20
