If he bombs out in this year's BBL I think the franchise tournaments will dry up a little, hoping that will be sufficient motivation
We should pick him in the Champ Trophy against India to shoulder charge Kohli. It'll only cost 20% of his match feeJacobs is a unit.
Disappointing, they need to put aside the hurt feelings of regulars in these relatively meaningless bi-lateral T20 games. There's really no excuse not to blood Jacobs today. Was looking forward to watching Jacobs tee off today, will have to make do with watching old stagers like Chapman and Mitchell and some of the up and comers like Hay and Foulkes. The ‘brains trust’ are obviously mindful of the dreaded pecking order….I’m sure many paying punters would have been keen to see Jacobs in action to assess if the hype matches the reality.
This is the management who took Foxcroft to Sri Lanka and played him in none of the 3 T20s or the 3 ODIs.Disappointing, they need to put aside the hurt feelings of regulars in these relatively meaningless bi-lateral T20s games. There's really no excuse not to blood Jacobs today.
Possibly although I was surprised to learn he recently turned 32, so with the current selection regime who knows. I somehow figured he was 35ish (fields like a 55 y/o) & forgot he made his test debut aged 20.I haven’t really seen it mentioned but given he was dropped for this series have we finally seen the last of Ish Sodhi in NZ colours?
I think he's just been dropped because all of Santner, Macewell, and Phillips is available. If one of them's injured or Macewell's crap, he could easily return. Though I agree – he shouldn't.I haven’t really seen it mentioned but given he was dropped for this series have we finally seen the last of Ish Sodhi in NZ colours?
She seems to know pretty well what cricketers' capabilities are.Why wife, in a moment of insight, just asked "why has each player been designated a child?"
