You're different i'll give you that. I don't like my neville chamberlain impersonations, sometimes my diplomatic side comes out, i hate it.luckyeddie said:You're no fun any more.
This has the possibility of becoming one of the most puerile, pathetic Cricket Web threads of all time and as such deserves to be persevered with.
And your first statement is a demonstrable fact because?chicane said:Well he's special that's why I think he'll be more consistent! Harmison has just found himself and now he's living up to his potential.
Which doesn't really mean much. If Pathan plays Bangladesh or the current WI side he may also get a lot of wickets and shoot through the rankings.marc71178 said:Erm, Harmison being ranked number 2 in the World
Pathan's average is 38 largely because of his two tests against the Aussies.marc71178 said:Harmison's average being 25 against 38...
I'm not gonna waste my time with your lame brain anymore. Just remember I'm not as stupid as you. How do you survive man?tooextracool said:by different i meant that harmison has become a much better bowler in recent times because of that new action.... not that he bowls differently from pathan...good god!!and he tells me i cant read

Given that Harmison's average against India is 24.00, what more do you need him to do?chicane said:Harmison needs to do it against the very best (i.e Australia and India).
Umm yeah but India are a much changed side after Australia 2003.badgerhair said:Given that Harmison's average against India is 24.00, what more do you need him to do?

No, the batting line-up's pretty well the same.chicane said:Umm yeah but India are a much changed side after Australia 2003.
Just like they were a much changed side after Australia 2000-2001?Umm yeah but India are a much changed side after Australia 2003.
They have added a lot to all aspects of their game.luckyeddie said:No, the batting line-up's pretty well the same.
India have always been formidabble at home and beat Australia convincingly even in the previous tour in 97 or 98. But in'99 in Aus they were haplessly crushed. Even Dravid failed. There is a HUGE difference between winning against Aus at home and in Aus.superkingdave said:Just like they were a much changed side after Australia 2000-2001?
I can see you closing it before too long..Neil Pickup said:I can see this thread going down the pan before too long..
But the batting line up is pretty much the same... Harmisons average didn't depend on the Indian fielding abilitychicane said:They have added a lot to all aspects of their game.
No it's not. India have started winning tests away from home only recently, and largely due to their batting. Dravid failed miserably in the '99 Aus tour, but had an amazing turnaround in 2003. Only Laxman was immune to the Aussiessuperkingdave said:But the batting line up is pretty much the same... Harmisons average didn't depend on the Indian fielding ability
You guys sure do like your fast bowlers to be the best in the world eh??chicane said:Which doesn't really mean much. If Pathan plays Bangladesh or the current WI side he may also get a lot of wickets and shoot through the rankings.
Pathan's average is 38 largely because of his two tests against the Aussies.
His bowling average vs Pakistan was 28.50 on largely dead wickets(Just look at the averages of the Pakistani bowlers - Shoaib [42.42] and Sami[62.14] for comparison). His average is bound to improve playing against lesser teams.
Why wouldn't we? It would be a dream come true if Pathan can scale such heights. Pathan is good and promising, he's NOT THE BEST IN THE WORLD OR BETTER THAN MCGRATH OR WASIM AKRAM'S REINCARNATION.twctopcat said:You guys sure do like your fast bowlers to be the best in the world eh??
Mcgrath , i spit on the man!
