Top Spinners to Debut in the 21st Century

So is Gus Atkinson one of the top seamers of the 21st Century?

Or a better example might be Scott Boland.

Each team plays 3-4 pacers in a test alongwith 1-2 spinners (and sometimes even the second is a part timer). Hence, there is much more competition in the fast bowlers category than there is in the spinners. Boland and Atkinson won't make the top 20 because of this.
However, pacers such as Asif, Harris, Bond definitely have a case to make the top 20 though

Axar is no different to Boland, he’s just a homeland specialist who benefited from the pink ball farce too.

This isn't the point. Axar might be comparable to Boland. But the fact is there are many more quality pacers around due to which I wouldn't have Boland in the top 20. Ali is no Southee/Johnson if you want to compare the similar placed fast bowlers

Overall bowling average in the matches moeen Ali played is 32.14. Guess it would be fair to call him both a below average bowler or a batsman.

Also I know Ajmal was a chucker but he did it successfully for several years and I don't think he should be wiped from the records. Therefore I'd put him in the top 10

Lol at Moeen being anywhere near the top 20

There have been domestic uncapped spinners all over the world better than him
This maybe true, but how many have over 200 Test Wickets and some MOTM Awards to go with it? When he was good (which admittedly was quite rare), he was actually a match winner.

I'm not saying he's top 20, but how many spinners have taken more Test wickets than him in the last 20 years?

10, with Vettori taking the same amount.

I was more referring to the original qualifying criteria of this thread, so 6 (you can't have Murali, Warne, Herath etc). But I get where you're coming from.

He also has 5 MOTM Awards too.
