The Test match batting of Yuvraj Singh

Rant0r

International 12th Man
OK i'm willing to grant that perhaps one maybe 2 of his innings might have been something close to test standard. Nevertheless, the aforementioned "waterboy" has played far more innings of quality in different conditions from far fewer test matches. I'm going to say one of them was on an Indian green top (just thought i'd throw that out there, as it's as likely as there being actual green tops in the subcontinent).

So if that makes North a waterboy then Yuvraj must be the kid with the oranges at half time

Haha, Yuvraj is the one being called water boy here. And you're right, we don't have grass in the sub-continent. Too many cows.

Bearing in mind that in the 2/3 years before that he averaged approximately 3438545

IMO you can't state that as a fact. Yuvraj has second innings hundreds against Pakistan on greentops, he had that unbeaten 85 in the chase against England. His problem is that these performances are diluted far too much by abject failures for them to characterise him.
Would the weather not burn off the top layer of grass, causing a pitch that was tricky on day 1 to flatten out a bit by the 2nd innings?

More than likely, see the Perth pitch ? And the SCG against Pakistan. Bad examples however, as bad batting and excellent bowling was on display in both.

The 112 was in the first innings on a green top. As for the 122, Asif was owning us with the new and old ball. Both were quality knocks amid collapse.

How do I word that I disagree with this without it being deleted...

I disagree with your opinion that the pitch had a greenish tinge which made batting more difficult than it would normally on an astroturf pitch
