Playing against Sri Lanka I would usually block out murali (and probably the other front line spinner too) and have to target someone else. This plan worked quite well for me in the ODI's where Samaraweera went for a few runs.

Giles has a slightly better fc record than Hamilton but usually I would make the decision based on form. I guess I was right this time as Giles scored a 50 and Hamilton scored 0.

I've seen better stats than that, but I thought that's pretty decent for a first year player

Very similar wickets, 129 vs 127 (FC) and 53 vs 53 (OD)

Your bowler had a better strike rate and average though
