The qualification is pretty screwed too. Afghanistan won a lot of games against Zimbabwe and Netherlands to give them a good rating. If they'd been playing the top teams then I doubt they qualify automatically, same may apply for Bangladesh to a lesser extent.

Bangladesh beat a lot of top teams, not minnows. West Indies just couldn't be bothered and it's all their own fault.

Bangladesh finished third though. They beat SA in SA and didn't lose to anyone at home except England.

they got 0 points for the matches the top teams didn't schedule against them. It wasn't the ICC rating it was based on, it was the super league.
