As I said (and Adam backed up), if there's no reasons given except half-efforts with clandestine background then I'm not sure what to think.

I'd like to think you wouldn't jump ship but you've whacked this upon us without any warning and no communication at all with us as a team (forgetting the management). You say you've been with us for a long time, yes you have and it's been brilliant but you owe it to the team to give an explanation rather than appearing to spit the dummy and then go schtum on us.

Given we're away at Green and lacking Patrick, I'm thinking about giving Currie a run today. He bowled quite well against Pakistan when the other bowlers bar Demeza struggled, and with the pitch likely to turn a bit he deserves a chance. The experience will help him when we're missing other senior players during the international season anyway, and more batting can't hurt, though that's not been our weak point to date.

I'm not going to pick Patrick if he doesn't want to play for us. Other bowlers deserve a chance instead.

PE Young (vc)
RGEWS Cribb
AP Cloete
BJ Goff
SE Fuller (c)
LA Camps
A Crampton (wk)
MJC Currie
TC Halsey
AAA Collins
TJ Demeza

Demeza and Collins opening the bowling obviously, with myself the change bowler and the spinners getting a fair amount of work. Thoughts?

Is there a reason why im at 4?? I mean i bat at 3 in tests and Cloete's at 4 wondering whats different here??

Nothing to it, I just copied the basic lineup from the last one Liam posted which happened to have you at 4.

Play Brendan at 3. If he and I can do it against Pakistan from there I'm sure we can do it against Green.

Besides, it's not like PY and Cribb won't have 100's to their names before he comes in anyway :p

Looks like a well rounded team, hey.... batting is deep, bowling options are plentiful.

Congrats to Currie, hopefully he finally cements a place.

Currie deserves the opportunity - he's had limited opportunities over the last couple of season and almost invariably performs well when given the chance. Hopefully something good to come out of this Patrick saga.
