Im very very confident i've made the right decision, and i feel my experience will be a valuable asset to the team..

Im very much looking forward to re-igniting my partnership with Cloete which was very strong at CW Green, and also help Blue become the force in Dev Cricket... I am looking forward to getting to know all the Blue players...

Haha, wow. Great to have such a leader in Goff, no doubt this will strengthen us heaps. Very good to have you here. :)

sorry to see ya go goffy, we had some massive partnerships at the top there and a player of your quality will be missed, but these things happen. good luck batting with cloete, he always goes for red ink and apparently will run you out if ya score more than him lol :P still love ya cloete...........................

I think you've just read me the wrong way bugs. I only run someone out if they get within 50 runs of my score... not near it 8-) ;)

With the addition of Brendon, the first XIs may look like this..

FC:

PE Young
RGEWS Cribb
BJ Goff
AP Cloete
SE Fuller (vc)
LA Camps (C)
D Jellett (wk)
TC Halsey
AAA Collins
NL Patrick
TJ Demeza

The likes of Wilshere and Currie should get good playing time if and when Goff and Camps are selected to the national side. Fuller, Patrick, Young and Halsey may also be in with a shot at callups.

OD:

AP Cloete
LA Camps (C)
MW DeSilva
BJ Goff
SE Fuller (vc)
A Crampton (wk) - may move up the order according to situation
BL Wilshere - I'd like to see him fill a Husseyesque role this season
MJC Currie - hopefully will get a good run this season
TC Halsey
AA Collins/TJ Demeza
NL Patrick

Collins and Demeza may end up battling it out for the spot of second specialist seamer, as neither has exactly made a career at OD level yet. With Currie in the side, we should have a 4-seam, 2-spin attack when at full strength.

With several players potentially being called up over the course of this season, the likes of Cribb, Jellett and Young could see some good playing time too.

My main concern over the squad is the clear lack of depth. The fact that there are only 3 specialist seamers is a big concern. As big a talent as Fuller is, he's still not quite found his rhythm with the ball, but hopefully that will come this season. I fear that a couple of injuries could see us in a fair deal of trouble.

That said, there's a lot of time to mend such gaps in the battlewear. We're still the best team in the league technically and quite frankly, in terms of sheer awesomeness. :cool2:

Just to clarify,do you mean by 'Husseyesque' that I do some hitting towards the end, or do I hold the tail together?

It depends on who is in with you. If its 6/85, then you'll be there to hold the innings together with the tail, but if its 5/250, you'll be there to play big shots and finish off the innings. That's the hard thing about the Hussey role - it changes from day to day so you have to be adaptable.

As said above, your role is to act as the finisher. Whatever the situation, you'll be expected to be there at the end. It's a lot of pressure, but I'm confident that you can get the job done. If not, well, sucks to be you. :p

Meh, I've done it before *cough*135partnership*cough*.

Also, good to see our batting so deep. I'm a specialist bat and I'm at 7 so that's pretty good.

Indeed, and not to forget that Currie has a FC hundred, and is batting at #8 in that one day side. Im not entirely aware of Halsey's record, but Im sure he has some decent scores as well.

Sounds good.

P.S: I hope I'm also in with a chance of an international call-up for the test team...

An FC 98 actually. Halsey has 5 FC 50s.

Liam wtf?!

Since when has CWXI cricket turned into an ICC schedule? :@

Seriously I don't see why we have to have such an ODI focussed schedule.

The World Cup is hardly a Test match tournament...
