I think the last few games have shown the me opening the batting in one dayers just doesnt work. I seem to handle it well in the FC matches, but Ive completely bombed out there in the one dayers. I did well batting at 5 and 6 in the one day trials, so perhaps thats an option. It would require someone else to open though, and I dont think any of the current side have done much of that in one dayers. Will the internationals be available for the next one day match? Because if so, I really shouldnt play, especially considering Im no longer bowling.

Just out of curiosity, why was I moved down to 6 in the last one dayer? I've been averaging 60 odd for the season in the top 4, and the internationals aren't in the team, so it seemed like a strange move.

Anyway, disappointing to lose again. Hopefully we can bounce back in the shorter form.

Agreed, our OD performances could certainly be better, and my bowling isn`t helping  but we`ve just got to keep practicing.

Well I'm back to play for Blue. It really seems to be a good move to retire from ODI's, because I lose track a bit of Blue when I'm following the CWXI Test Team more closely. Anyway it'll be awesome to be back playing along side you all again and hopefully we can keep winning with the ODI players away from the other teams!

Who are we likely to lose when the ODIs begin?

Liam plays ODIs... is that all? I'm fairly sure Pete and Simon don't, Andrew is retired, and Halsey probably doesn't if Neil is fit.

Yep..only Liam I think.

Unless they go for a shock selection. Something tells me we could be losing you to the ODI team soon though Sean ;)

Doubt it myself, I still average about 30 for my career in both forms, just having a good OD season so far. I think there's a fair chance we'll lose Demeza in the longer form relatively soon, as he has quite phenomenal wicket taking ability. Wilshere's a decent chance for a middle order spot in the tests down the road a bit as well. And if Nath can string two of his "on" seasons together he's a definate shot.

Then I`ve got no chance, yeah? :D
I feel sorry for Robbie Cribb. Not having a great go of it with the bat, best of luck. A big positive for us this season has been our lack of injuries, always nice. Apart from early on with the problem with our `keeper, we`ve always put a competitive side on the field.

Yeah Ive been in absolutely awful form. I played well in the trials, and I've even had my moments this season (including 138 a week or so ago) but Ive been just horrible in the recent matches.

I was bored, so I had a look at the stats and worked out what milestones Blues players have reached this season. Only done FC for now, might do OD later.

Liam - 4000 Runs
Adam - 500 Runs & 150 Wickets
Cribb - 1000 Runs
Simon - 9000 Runs
Halsey - 2000 Runs
Sean - 1500 Runs
Jellett - 2500 Runs
Patrick - 500 Runs & 200 wickets
Wilshere - 500 Runs
Me -300 Runs
Trav - 100 wickets

Adamc

Cricketer Of The Year
Travis - 63 runs. Each run is a milestone. ;)

Seriously though, some impressive stats indeed. Interesting that the Dev League's top three runscorers are all Blue players. Simon is likely to be the first to pass 10,000 runs, if Cloete doesn't get there first.

Hoping to bring up my 200th wicket in the next match, currently on 194 I think.

Mmm... 200. :D

Best of luck to you Adam, I`ll do my bit and try not to take more than 14.

I'm quite close to the 2000 runs/100 wickets double myself... need 58 runs and 7 wickets. Also closing in on 1000 OD runs, need another 88.

My weirdest stat is the contrast in my List-A performances with the bat between seasons 8 and 9.

Season 8 - 22 matches, 299 runs @ 21.36, 0 50s and a HS of 42.
Season 9 - 13 matches, 613 runs @ 61.30, 7 50s and HS of 97.

An offseason batting up the order, and you've had more responsibility this season. Batting higher and captaining the side.
