Sean is actually a really slow batsmen ... possibly the slowest ... which would make him even slower than Adam....Cloete said:Disappointing loss, but a few guys really did well so well done to them.
We need to start holding our catches... how do we increase in our fidling skill Liam?
I do have one suggestion though, we bat Liam at 3 and Sean drops to 5. Liam's a proven opener and he's scoring runs regularly down the order, while the number 3 has pretty much failed every time this season. Sean and I both score our runs faster and are more prone to being dismissed by the new ball. Just a suggestion though...
Or give Wilshere or Cribbs a crack there too?Mr Mxyzptlk said:I actually favour Andrew's idea of moving Sean down the order. I wouldn't mind having a go at #3, though I have batted well with the tail lately.
Putting me at #3 would require dropping someone though, as Im not currently in the first choice XI. Wilsher is the only batsman who didnt really have his place cemented at the start of the season, and hes been in good form so dropping him would be silly.Travis_Teh said:Or give Wilshere or Cribbs a crack there too?
Either way, I would have thought that any one of Cloete, Fuller, Camps, Cribb or Wilshere could do the job there.
Just got to find what works by trial and error i guess
That can be arranged, but I don't think there's any Dev League side that would play you as a front-line spinner at this stage in your career.Blaze said:TBH I would like to be traded if there is no chance of me playing as a front line spinner in this side, which seems to be the case.

I realise that my bowling stats had to be adjusted when I signed up but I didn't think it would turn me into a 6th bowling option.Blaze said:Batting Avge: 29.5

It's not about your stats, but established players. In the Blues, you'd get played when Halsey was on international duty, but we also have Sudeep as a spin-bowling all rounder who is established in the team, and given the pace-dominated home conditions you two would be rotated. You'd probably find in all the other teams that other spinners who are already established in the team would be preferred over a newcomer, and you would most likely only play when international callups weakened the teams until you had some more games under your belt.Blaze said:I realise that my bowling stats had to be adjusted when I signed up but I didn't think it would turn me into a 6th bowling option.
ooh 138 runs and 31 wickets for the 200/2000 double i think.Mr Mxyzptlk said:CW Red - SA Bennett : 113 FC wickets
CW Blue - TC Halsey : 339 FC wickets; SC Popat : 113 FC wickets
CW Black - NS Pickup : 452 FC wickets; DP Richards : 169 FC wickets
CW Green - TV Weber : 111 FC wickets; RG Verghese : 148 FC wickets
CW Colts - spinners in the same situation as you - ie not established.
Perhaps you are right. I just can't see myself getting much game time at all at the Blues. In the matches I get called up to I either don't perform or don't get a chance to. Given that our home conditions suit pace then I don't really think I have a future at Blue. I can't ever see myself displacing Hasley or Sudeep so might as well have a crack at making another team. It beats sitting on the sidelines.FaaipDeOiad said:It's not about your stats, but established players.
