the team is good, perhaps breaking up the top 3 could be a good idea, Pete, myself and andy are the experienced ones and maybe by switching de Silva and Cloete we could break it up a little...
Simon may have a point. i haven't done too well in the 4th spot in 5D.

Hehe, no I was alluding to the fact that Liam put you in the lineup twice. But he's since edited it to make me look like an idiot. :)

Congrats to the five Blues selected for the Sri Lanka tour. :)

As a matter of interest though, how are we supposed to field a team? We've got 16 players, minus those five, and Dylan's on 'vacation', leaving ten. Unless I've missed someone...

Blues call on Maddocks

Retired veteran Andre Maddocks has been called to the Blue squad as cover for the period that CW XI players are on duty. Any further substitutes will be called upon as needed. Maddocks will not participate unless there is no other way to field an XI.

Well done! Good win to beat Bangladesh.

I really don't want to bat four though, I bat 3 for the CWXI and have done so since Eclipse retired. I know I hit a hundred there, but really what's the point of me batting 4 and not 3? If you put both openers together, which they shouldn't be if you go on the experience thing, then I see no difference it would make with me batting 3. In fact, I'd have a better chance of forming good partnerships with them.

Ahh well.. anyway

Well done to Alex on a well deserved man of the match. Great work by the bowlers, everybody chipped in to dismiss them for low totals in both innings.

No. Blewy has batted at three for the last two series.

Bowlers who should be ****ed off :

Demeza, 5 catches put down off his bowling.
Halsey, 4 catches put down off his bowling.
Collins, 2 catches put down off his bowling.

Then the allrounders who should equally be ****ed off:

De Silva, 2 catches put down off his bowling.
Currie, one catch put down off his bowling.

Guys, catches win matches!!! Sure we won, but seriously...this is ridiculous!!

Perpetraitors: Young 4, Currie 3, Cloete 2, Wilshere 2, Collins 1, Halsey 1 & Popat 1.
:P
Sure, i'm possibly the worst fieldsmen in the team....so I can't really talk :)

Are those dropped catch stats only from the second match? Because we were pretty poor in the first match also.

Practice boys, practice. Let`s all try to reward the bowlers efforts by hanging on to our chances.

I`m sure they`ll be some though times ahead when our Internationals go away. Any win we get in that period will be well earnt.

I don't know if we will struggle -that- much?
Crampton/Cribb/De Silva/Fuller/Wilshere is a more than capable batting lineup against the other clubs without their internationals etc ;) :D
