Ive been pretty happy with my debut season on a person note (but obviously not on the team performances....). I scored a FC century, and although my FC dropped, I managed to get back in the one day team soon after, and scored a useful 50 late in the order. I seem to be in good form in either FC or OD matches.... never both... which is infuriating! I think my main problem has been failing to convert 20s and 30s into 50s. Its really hampered my performances.

Im pretty certain Ive been underbowled though! My bowling record is pretty good really, and when even broncoman gets a bowl before I do, it does seem like Im not in the thought of the captain. I hope to further advance my bowling in offseason while playing for an overseas club.

I've been underbowled too. But hey, I guess you can't have everything.
True, but my record is better than yours!

In fact, my bowling record is right up there for Blue bowlers in both forms...

I've definitely been underbowled :)

Considering I am (or was, not sure about 4D anymore) averaging under 20 with the ball in both forms :D

Unfortunately I think I've almost been overbatted, such a poor season with the bat :(

well as far as our bowling records go, there's not much to compare about. But looking at those I think I've done better than you. But we've both been underbowled really.

Of late, the 5D side has been picking Patrick, Demeza and Halsey as specialists and Camps, Popat and myself as all-rounders. You can't expect to get too many overs as a part timer with that sort of bowling lineup.

well, I have signed up as an allrounder as well. Few overs here and there don''t really help to boost the confidence. but it's no big deal. I think I've done ok with the bat this season :D

Hahahaha, sorry. ;)

Four specialists, three all-rounders, and Cloete, DeSilva and Fitzsimmons are all part-timers, so that just leaves poor old Pete Young who can't bowl. :p

In my opinion we have too many allrounders.
So that means some have to miss out. I believe more should miss out, but that's my view.

From a -specialist- bowler point of view..... ---= it is VERY irritating to be at fine leg watching a part time allrounder bowl, whilst you know you SHOULD be bowling instead =--- especially when you havent bowled for a while and aren't tired or injured and just want to hit hte batsmen in the head and tear their wickets from the ground....

I think i've made my point ;) - why would.should the part timers be bowling instead of the 4 specialists in the team? Sure it mixes things up....but thats what the bowlers are there for in teh first place!!

I think it's worked pretty well for us so far. Keep in mind that Sudeep and Liam have been two of our most consistent bowlers in recent times, and the part-timers have done pretty well too. I think maybe 7 bowlers is one too many, but the bowlers who look to be troubling the batsmen can always stay on when necessary - it gives us more options. However, in a team with four specialists and three all-rounders I don't see the point of anybody complaining about being underbowled, as obviously some are going to get less opportunities.

As long as the specialists are getting decent spells and a chance at all the batsmen I don't see the problem.

'Tis the problem when you're an all rounder.. not very good with the bat, second fiddle to specialist bowlers... whaddya gunna do?!

Very valid and true.
Especially the last sentence.

Just a tiny petpeeve of mine, for our side ;)
