Contracts for all players would be complicated.

A simpler solution may be to follow MLS and add our own flavour.

In MLS, to all extent and purpose, all players in the league are employees of the league and the teams are league franchises.

If we make that ammendment, we add our own part and instead of contracts we could say that any player can leave at the end of the season but all players leaving a club go into a draft. The order of which is determined by a combination of the number of players leaving a team and the previous years team performance. Obviously with the provision that the team a player left cant draft them.

In other words, a player can still leave a club if they wish but they cant pick and choose where they go.

It should make players think twice about leaving for petty reasons as they dont know where they will end up but also allow players with real issues an outlet to leave a club they really dont want to be at.

Just an idea

Makes sense, as Black and Colts are now pretty light/heavy number wise.

Lack some quality seamers now Hoy, Wawrick and Subacka are gone. Still got Borcich and his gunnish ability in FC though.

In any case, I'm assuming for now I'm stand-in captain and am looking at recruiting at the moment. Will post more as I work on it.

Hey boys. Been talking with the fill-in captain and a couple of other people and I've been persuaded to join black. Think it'll be good fun and a good chance for myself. Like basically everyone here so yeah.

Jamee Left, so he's out. Cloete's a huge signing, fills the gap left by Butler. It's bloody great to have you here, Andy.

Poor show that you wouldn't inform CW Blue of the decision.

After much negotiating, CW Black have secured the services of tearaway paceman Nath Patrick for Season XII and hopefully beyond. I personally welcome Nath to the side and am sure he can help us rebuild and defend our titles in the coming season.

Wait, wasn't it the CW Black players who abused Nath? I forget.

I thought he might leave but the destination is surprising!
