Didn't realise MSN was part of CWXI.thewizard1o1 said:I'm honoured to accept the CW Black captaincy on the back of one of our most successful seasons ever. As many know the side has run into some troubles over this off season, with some of our most senior players leaving for other sides. Whilst on the surface it looks a huge blow for the team, it is at the same time a huge opportunity for many of the fresh faces in the black squad to stand up and drive the team forward.
Over the past season discipline has also been a problem, this is one of the main area that I will be looking to change. As everyone knows the CWBCC has a Code of Conduct that all players are to follow and this season I’ll be enforcing this Code of Conduct on the team where i see fit. Below is a reminder of the Code;
The code is there to provide a good environment for players and it is hoped that ALL team members will abide by it and have a great time.
As my first point of business, CW Black batsman Alex Blackman will be suspended for the first two games of next season for his abuse of former team mate Chris Butler.
Go die in a hole. At least say he's "dropped for team orientated reasons" or some crap. It's not a formal suspension passed down from a tribunal. Bull**** decision as well IMO.thewizard1o1 said:I

Admitting that you did it is about as close to proof as you can get in an internet community.Buddhmaster said:There's actually no proof I abused Butler, and I could just as easily take back that I said I did. On the captaincy, I see hard times ahead. One of our leaders is a bit of struggler, and the other has played 10 matches, tops.
Just in reply to that, I've played 27 FC games for Black + 3 FC games for CWA and 2 FC finals. In OD I've played 13 games last season, unsure of this season as this computer doesn't have excel so I can't check but I'd say around the same, as well as the 1 OD final.Buddhmaster said:There's actually no proof I abused Butler, and I could just as easily take back that I said I did. I CAN capitalise RANDOM words too, ya KNOW. In answer to your question, ask Neil for an answer. I was all for a vote.Hoggy31 said:What happened to the whole team having a say and voting in who WE want as OUR captain?
Pretty humorous coming from someone who I'd argue is chained under the carport at Blackman's house right now. Bowl of water by his side, howling at the moon and whatnot.Hoggy31 said:Smithy playing captain's pet.

I doubt I would have won a vote to be captain, Simon, Wilson and Butler all leaving would have hurt the 'Hoy vote' quite a deal I would imagine, and as Smith said no vote was Neil’s decision, so you would have to ask him about that.Hoggy31 said:I'd have no objections to you being captain if you were elected by the players, and in all fairness, they probably would elect you. But with Smith, I know I and a few others would prefer a senior member like Chaulk as vice-captain as opposed to him.

Who ever said that captains were elected?Hoggy31 said:What happened to the whole team having a say and voting in who WE want as OUR captain?

AFAIK no captain has ever been elected in the past, so why should you be a special case?
