Based on my count, it is currently 11 - 10 to Richie Benaud, but still a good number of hours of play left for Lloyd to overhaul him.

For Benaud. I mean, it's pretty much accepted Rich isn't quite the force he was but, given the presence of the sadly deceased Arlott & Laker in the comp, I imagined we're voting for the commentators' overall contribution to their field rather than their current form.

Yes, that's why I voted for Richie, can't believe this is so close. He's still one of the premier voices of cricket and is a focal point of many peoples cricket watching throughout the decades. Bumbles just a likable idjit, tbf.

Plus, I can never go past the time Lloyd suggested in Ashes 2001 that a spectator in a crane needed to come down and get himself on terracotta then the other commentator dude asked him what he expected him to do?
