HI JBMAC Sir. Why do you want to choose Thommo over Lindwall, Davidson, McGrath and, even, Cummins?

JT was the perfect foil forLillee. He was decidedly quick and proved to be just what DKL wanted . It is hard to leave bowlers of that quality out of a side but I looked for a balance and proven attack from the bowlers I have seen and that just became a logical choice

Were Thommo and Lillee better batsmen than Warne?

Definitely not Warne would have been the better batsman Both of those mentioned were "sloggers" who you needed to pile on quick runs at the tail end of an innings
