Would had been epic if that was the batting order.....ODI ATXI View attachment 40878

Steyn was a good fella, definitely more gentleman than most upper tier pacers I believe. (Or it could very well be I am missing some big controversy, don't know).
Which other ATG (or atleast World Class) pacer will you suggest then??View attachment 40879
He’s probably a lovely bloke, but I just don’t think of the word gentleman when looking at him.
Hadlee? Davidson? Pollock? Just random names honestly I don’t know enough of their character off the top of my headWhich other ATG (or atleast World Class) pacer will you suggest then??
Kapil at 6 and Hardik at 7 with a long tail makes the batting line-up too shallow imo. Like what even is the point of Hardik when you have 5 proper bowlers and 6th options in Yuvi and Sachin?India's All time ODI XI for the time being
Sachin
Rohit
Kohli
Yuvi
Dhoni
Kapil
Hardik
Kuldeep
Kumble/Srinath
Bumrah
Shami
KL had a chance to overtake Yuvi at 4 but his tapering form and Yuvi's overall body of work plus his useful SLA tips the balance. Shocking how far ahead Kuldeep is from the rest of spinners in LOIs.
I remember reading somewhere of Hadlee to not being the best character, not sure of the others honestly. Steyn do look like a lovely bloke to me, always loved him in action and his interviews looks good.Hadlee? Davidson? Pollock? Just random names honestly I don’t know enough of their character off the top of my head
Probably named it in such a weird order to disguise the fact that he has three openers.Would had been epic if that was the batting order.....
Might have been here.I remember reading somewhere of Hadlee to not being the best character
Nah, that's just your povertarian/scarcity mindset that is conditioned to associate more specialist batsmen with depth. That line-up has 4 bats who average ~50. It's not shallow. Hardik/Kapil at 6 and 7 add lower order firepower that India has traditionally lacked. No compromise on wicket taking threat with Kuldeep, Bumrah and Shami. Srinath and Kumble to play based on conditions.Kapil at 6 and Hardik at 7 with a long tail makes the batting line-up too shallow imo. Like what even is the point of Hardik when you have 5 proper bowlers and 6th options in Yuvi and Sachin?
