Good alternatives. Might go broad over Tavare. What about Chris Broad (1984-89, ave 39.54) Tim Robinson (1984-89, ave 36.38) and for keeper Wayne Phillips (1983-86, ave 32.28)

Yeah, he was the key to England winning the Ashes in Australia.Good alternatives. Might go broad over Tavare.
Debuted in the 70s.Yeah, he was the key to England winning the Ashes in Australia.
Mohsin Khan would also be an option if eligible (played ODIs in the 70s & 80s, but tests only in the 80s).
Rizwan over Moin Khan, a better keeper and much superior batsman.Pakistan ODI XI that can defeat Australia XI
1) Saeed Anwar
2) Shahid Afridi
3) Babar Azam
4) Javed Miandad
5) Zaheer Abbas
6) Imran Khan (c)
7) Abdul Razzaq
8) Moin Khan +
9) Wasim Akram
10) Saqlain Mushtaq
11) Waqar Younis
agree with your comment but i have no other option.Afridi opening is AIDS
Bowling
Sorry man this Pakistan XI is really good it has no weakness.Stop trying to say teams can beat the Aussie XI’s. Just accept we’re the best
This is a Perfect Team it has a Great Opener in Saeed Anwar, A good No 3 Player in Babar Azam, Legendary Middle Order with Miandad and Zaheer Abbas, A wicket Keeper Batsmen in Rizwan, 2 Allrounders in Razzaq and Imran Khan, Great Spinner Saqlain and 2 Fast Bowlers in Wasim and Waqar. Shahid Afridi is the only weak point in batting lineup but having a fast bowler like wasim akram who can bat at the end covers this weak point so its all good.
You could also make Rizwan open with Anwar and move Imran to 6, Afridi to 7, Razzaq to 8 and have a dynamic lower order dependent on match situation. Bowling is their Great Strength which can increase their chances to win the match. 5th bowler Razzaq and 6th bowler in Afridi gives them edge over other all time xi teams.
Afridi is more experienced opener compared to Rizwan. Its fine even if he gets out early as the batting order is there till no 9 and finally Imran will decide whom to send first depending on match situation. You could also make Rizwan open with Anwar and move Imran to 6, Afridi to 7, Razzaq to 8 and have a dynamic lower order dependent on match situation.
just replace Azar mohammad and Shoaib Akthar from this match with Imran Khan and Waqar Younis you have the team i have mentioned in terms of bowling. Shoaib was in good form in the 1999 world cup so he is equal to waqar. So this match only Imran Khan could have made a difference compared to Azar Mohammad.NZ vs PAK Cricket Scorecard, 1st Semi-Final at Manchester, June 16, 1999
