I don't see why - that sort of schedule looks far better for England, and that is what home advantage should be about.
Really?
From where I'm standing England are never well-advised to play a ODI series at the end of a tour, whether it's a home or away one.
So often we see players taking a my-work's-done attitude.

personally, i think it's pretty over the top how sports stars earn millions of dollars. in my opinion, cricket players earn enough money to live a comfortable life, and that should be good enough. sooner or later, you're going to have what happened with hockey in america, with the next season under threat due to pay disputes
Yes, I quite agree, I feel football is stupidly overpaid and I don't see why they have the right to these sorts of salaries when so many countries, never mind individuals, face daily hardship.
Nonetheless, cricket is still lagging way behind and I feel it has a right to catch-up, a bit.

Well, as we all knew The ECB are adept at mind-changing!
Good thing in this instance, though.
First time Pakistan play a series of more than 3 Tests in fourteen years! Bloody hell, I mean, I know they don't play many, but I didn't realise it was quite that long!

If that were to be done I'd prefer Tests, ODIs, ODIs, Tests.
Always feel it's best to group the ODIs together.
The schedule for 2001\02 was so much better than for 2000\01 and it showed - even though the England team was weaker in 2001\02 the results somehow ended just 5-6, compared to 1-5 in 2000\01, with ODIs at the beginning and end of the winter.

Stefano -

Just wanted to say that I am glad you decided to follow Pakistan. We need more Pakistani fans here. :) Hopefully you will like what they have to offer and won't get annoyed at the silly glitches they are want to make.

If you have any questions regarding Pakistan's performance, strategy etc and/or insight, opinions please don't hestitate to share on account of being a newbie. :)

And Stefano, as one of the people who supported Pak madly from 99 to about early 2002 (becoz they looked most likely to defeat Australia, atleast in ODIs), it can be a testing thing, being a Pakistani fan. One moment, they play better than the best in the world and the next, they play silly cricket. But things are chaning slowly with Woolmer at the helm though.

Don't count your chickens before they are hatched.

In Pakistan's case, the incubation period is infinite. ;)

I do think, personally, that he has the potential to bring a short period of stability and chaos-suppression to the team, but to believe he can change the entire culture of a country is asking a little too much, I feel. :)

What's Saqlain's Bear done to deserve being cut?

Surely it'd be more humane to shoot it if it needs killing?

You haven't noticed that Pakistan cricket's chaotic nature reflects the country as a whole?

I have just watched the 6th ODI between India and Pakistan. At the end of the match, Ravi Shastri interviewed Naved-ul-Hasan and Inzamam: they didn't speak English, but another language. What language was that?

It would be Urdu with - probably - some Hindi words thrown in by Ravi. (Urdu and Hindi are the national languages of Pakistan and India respectively and very similiar in words, meaning and style)
