Thats not over 300 :)
Only because South Africa didn't score over 300. Considering that the West Indies were 300-3 after 45 overs, it's pretty blatantly obvious that they could have chased a fair few more runs. It's essentially the same thing.

Obviously I think they have no chance and have said so and if you are defending them this resolutely you should put your neck on the line and back them.

Ill see you in World Cup Avatar Challenge :)

I agree that Windies are capable of chasing this. I would say that 3 in 10 times is the debatable point.

There's no such things as "no chance" in cricket. Haven't Richard and all of Ireland taught you that?

Yeah, poor choice of words by me. They have a chance. I just think that it is remote enough for me to confidently predict an Australian victory

I say that because if the West Indies and Australia played a 10-game series and Australia scored that batting first every time, they'd win the first 7 games, then lose the last 3 dead rubbers.

Sri Lanka v/s South Africa today at Guyana, from what i have heard about the pitch there is that its slower than other pitches around in the Caribbean so i guess South Africa won't be too effective on that track.
You would think so but considering their recently won two test matches against India and Pakistan on wickets which were ridiculously slow and offered considerable amount of turn they should be ok. However, Murali is a different kettle of fish to the likes of Anil Kumble and Danish Kaneria and it will be intriguing to see how the South Africans play him.

Weather does not seem to be to great in Guyana, scattered thunder storms according to Yahoo weather are forecasted to continue throughout the week but his hoping 40 overs are somehow possible over these two days.

I think Australia have got 99% chances to win this match! West Indies cannot win this match as their middle order is unpredictable. even the opening pair scores 260, its no wonder if they crash to 300 alloutt...

Unpredicatble batting lineup...

Chris Gayle is more unpredictable than anyone in the middle order, actually. I'd say he and Chanderpaul are the key though. Practically everyone in the batting lineup - bar Sarwan - has looked in good form though.

The West Indies tend to chase well under some sort of pressure. When things get too easy, that's where problems arise.

Hoping for something big from Gayle tonight. Picking Chanderpaul to do well though....maybe 80odd in 60 balls.
