They didn't say Kill Kill and it was very unexpected from the West Indians , they even considered it unethical against Australia when Lillee and Thomson used it.
Also, unlikely it was the whole crowd, could've been some of the loud people, they actually exist.

I mean Yeah, Australian crowd is ruthless, they also were when Johnson was destroying England with ease, nobody xalled it animalistic obviously as that's the nature of pace heavy nations. I bet if Gavaskar was a white man playing for England or Australia, we'd never hear the end of it about that comment but he's slightly brown so there's layers of defense.
Racism was just coming down during those times. So I don't think think anyone would abuse a white men then publicly.

Lot of hostile things has happened in the West Indies such as crown invasion and what happened to the umpire Douglas Sung Hue etc , it is quiet possible that more than half of the crowd wanted to see ball hit that Indian Batsmen irrespective of how danger they were in.

Douglas Jardine even disliked the Australian crowd for their attitude against him.

Yeah crowd invasions never ever happened outside the West Indies

Ok but if an opposing captain has their players get injured with a crowd calling for violence like that, I don't begrudge him a harsh response.

sure, but his comments after Hooks' and Warne's deaths leave me with no doubt that he's just a typical xenophobic and racist person

Haven't heard anywhere were crowd invaded against an umpire for giving a decision.
Chaos do happen everywhere... but the possibility of atleast half the crowd yelling the bowlers to kill Gavaskar were many Indian batsmen are retired hurt is high.

Who was a better person between Hammond and Gavaskar?
Hammond, not close.

As I said, you don't need to watch Star Wars really, like you don't need to watch Dragon Ball Z, to know practically 70% of everything that happened and half a dozen quotes.
I know I’ve already reccommended the Simpsons, but watch Dragonball Z Abridged on Youtube. And also Yugioh The Abridged Series. Both infinitely better than the original and with faithful accurate storytelling.

I know you like viv but be honest. 5 (or 8 if you include wsc) is a very disappointing number for a batsman with his reputation of destroying ATGs. And this in a thread where you've just posted about how tons vs atg bowlers are an important milestone when you were talking about Lara.
Is it? He only had three outright ATGs he was facing and had great series with tons included against each. On top of that great series with tons against pace bowlers like Botham in worldclass form. And then WSC.

That's more than enough for me.

Warnes death? How was that racist? Just a boneheaded comment. Tone-deaf but not racist.
You have to catch the pattern, the comment after Hooks' death was racist, we know he has no problems demonizing an entire region from west indies, and then he goes out and is blatantly disrespectful to a guy who just died, just shows the type of person he is.

Is it racist if Viv calls Aussie crowds as monkeys?
Unless the crowd is primarily Aboriginal? No.

Historically, monkey was used in a negative context to refer to black people. It wouldn’t be seen as racist against white people with no such history.

This is also why “Monkeygate” was a thing with Andrew Symonds, who is Aboriginal.

Does not seem anywhere near enough to match up with the proclamation of him being the greatest ever dominator of atg fast bowling etc.
