Just a summary of the games we've played today.
The first match of the day was the T20 league game for GG CC against a relatively new team in the league.
GG CC won the toss, their openers Bram and Cornelius Human put on 100 in 8.3 overs, setting the tone for a total over 220. Peter Sutherland slapped his way to 44 (20), while the keeper Bhooshan Sanigepalli was left unbeaten on 20 (9).
Then the bowlers made light work of their batsmen, bowling them out for 128 in 16 overs. Zulfikar Fayaz, Jainesh Talip, and Cornelius Human each pick up 2 wickets apiece. Sanigepalli made 5 dismissals behind the stumps.

On to the second match of the day. CWC5B. GG CC v FHK.
GG won the toss and elected to bowl. They got three quick wickets in the first 6 overs and then that's when Nathan Law joined Tong Chung and everything went in FHK's way. They added 89 (50) for the 4th wicket. GG picked up 2 more wickets at the death, but they were happy just getting off the field at that moment. They let the game slip away from them.
They lost Levy in the first over. Hostile pace from Ted Hui. None of GG's batsmen were able to settle down and graft an innings. They were slogging way too early. Peter Sutherland was the only one who looked comfortable clearing the boundary. He smacked 4 sixes on his way to 54 (30).
The hostile bowling continued, this time from Joshua Wong who took 4 for 33. GG fell short by 21 runs.

The third game was actually the first game of the day for Mooo CC. They played the Wise Woodchucks as a 'bye' match in CWC5B. A couple of main guys were rested. No one made a big score. The final total was 153/9 in 20 overs.
Okay, let's go check out the bowling performance in defense of the 153. The skipper, Jamil Gul snared 4 for 8 in 3.1 overs. Good! Who else? All-rounder, Hadi Hafeez with 3 for 15 in his 4 overs. The veteran, Mark with 2 for 10...and the youngster, Andrew with 1 for 17 in 4 overs. I'm happy with the outcome of this game. We bowled them out for 71.

So now on to the final game, Mooo CC v Corellians. Stiff competition and tough opponents. They batted first and were bowled out for 139 in 17.4 overs. Richard McCormack grabbed 3 for 23, Tom Toogood with 3 for 24, Lahiru Vethanayagam with 2 for 26, and of course Jamil Gul had to make his presence felt...he picked up 1 for 38. Veenstra with the other wicket.
Batting felt difficult in the second innings. Wickets kept on falling for us. Only 3 batsmen got into double figures as they bowled us out for 96 in 14 overs. Disappointing.
