Burns destabilising their functioning lineup is most amusing, sucks for Mangled Laparoscopy, though.

The returning Test players have either been trash or amazing (or injured).

Sheffield Shield Fantasy: Round 9

Some huge individual hauls from bowlers have shaped the varied team totals this week.

In Group A, PEWS took out the round with two dominant bowlers, while I came in second with slightly less flashy performers. Marcuss came in third, a pace bowler short of a good total, with spinners from all teams have a tough round.

Dan took out the round in Group B, his four seamers holding off morgieb's three. Gnske can thank his SA players for his close third placed finish, while jimmy was betrayed by Dunk's inherent crappiness to finish fourth.

Going into the last round, Gnske and morgieb will battle it out to finish ahead in Group B. Gnske's best players being South Australian makes him hard to barrack for, while morgieb has erstwhile Test tyro, Terrible Trent Copeland to recommend him.

Meanwhile in Group A, I have already popped the victory cork, lapped my honor, arms perpetually raised in triumph. My campaign unsinkable, hull impenetrable, feet steering the wheel to glory. Nothing could possibly go wrong.

Youve whipped me the last few rounds LC. A shame I didn't have an extra player or two available

Yeah, the lack of some type of injury replacements is the only thing thing that hasn't quite worked in this comp. It is not great seeing such uneven numbers due to injury, and you definitely had the strongest overall squad prior to injury.

The points share has been really good, with bowlers getting high points countered by high attrition. I deliberately tried to pick older, more durable bowlers, but they are often left out for the next young thing so I was lucky that worked out.

Maybe two permanent injury replacements/reserve squad members chosen after the first round squads are announced would work. They could be brought in at any stage before the draft.

Like I said though, everything else with this comp has been really good. NUFAN has done a great job arranging it. Thanks Nuffers.

Echoing the sentiments above, great comp, thanks to you both Nufers & LC for administrating the competition. Also, thanks to everyone who participated & made it a fun & quite interesting comp.

Any chance we could see the total points tallies as they stand currently? I want to see if I avoided being the Namibia of my group.

I planned on picking up Cartwright during the mid-season re-draft but it was ultimately too lazy. Really tasting that now.
