No point in Floros when Swepson and Hemphrey exist, Paine just left out for being Paine.

Paine got dropped.

Not sure about Floros; he was going pretty well before the break so it'd be harsh if he'd been dropped, but his form was terrible during the Big Bash and the balance requirements have changed with Swepson playing now so I think he may have just been axed as well. I'm not entirely sure on that one though.

Ah poor Paine-daddy. But I guess Floros' impressive Shield stats this season aren't telling the whole story. Watched literally f--k all of the BBL this season so can't really speculate on just how bad his t20 form was, but, by looking at the numbers alone, Floros was perhaps a bit stiff.

Most annoying thing is, Cam White, whom I dropped cos I thought Victoria dropped him, is now actually getting selected! Plus, being such an idiot, I thought Aaron Finch might be given some Sheild games considering Aus are NZ currently playing a Test series & he's an ODI specialist.

Yeah it was harsh on Floros. I can only speculate that they only considered him a fill in for balance in the first place and never considered him a long-term pick regardless of how he went.

Well, he's only 25 so there's still plenty of time for him to not only make his way back into the team, but make that spot in the team his own. If that fails he can always pick up a contract with NSW & get airlifted into the Australian team for an ODI or two.

Haha just kidding.

Sheffield Shield Fantasy: Round 8

Group B had a tight round with Hogan's heroics pushing Dan in front at the finish. adub jumps to 3rd overall thanks to his beloved Qld players, while jimmy101 is putting together good scores at the backend with a trade boosted squad.

At the top, Gnske has closed the gap on morgieb, while NUFAN's charge towards the top two is halted by losing 4 players to injury, T20 and dropping.

Group A had Red Hill in front until Hogan helped me pip him; although with a full team picked he would have crushed the round with over 1300 points.

Riggins and Cabinet struggled with numbers, while PEWs had a poor round, Paine's return no doubt infecting the rest of his team. Marcuss had a solid round, only let down by Ahmed's loss of "form" and his 'keepers not showing up.

The Test players return next round, knocking out placeholders and hopefully testing some of the younger players who've prospered in their absence.

I got rid of Wildermuth for Floros, and the selectors immediately did the opposite, and now he's racking up wickets, runs.

If I'd dumped SMarsh aswell (which I almost did), that would really suck.

I forgot to mention above: morgieb, you still haven't changed your team to include Marcus Harris. I don't see him going anywhere with Voges back, but Turner is looking shaky.

Yeah, I've been a bit lazy lately so haven't been able to properly change my time. Last time it was because not all the sides were up in the main Fantasy thread.

Surprised you haven't thrown Clint in given Hilfenhaus is a guaranteed no-show.
