I don't know if you can legitimately call a side where 16 out of the 23 man squad were born and brought up in France "African."

8 of Algeria's squad are French youth internationals. France 'B' would be a more appropriate monicker.

Apparently their coach Halilhodzic once accidentally shot himself in the arse. I'm sure these facts are somehow connected.

Really don't see the relevance. The two football teams associated with African nations who may or may not have players exclusively born and raised in Africa. There you go.

Some of the better Algerian players have little to do with France anyway, Slimani for example.

Can't help but love Algeria. They really fought and fought for that. Did a far better job of things than England did against Germany at this stage 4 years ago.
