pitches =/= playing with injuries, I rate Walcott on two back to back ATG serieses against ATG lineups, very high reputation (universally above Worrell) and an insane peak, but if we're going by just numbers, he's Warner level
Warner averages 33 away dude and has legit cost his team in Ashes

Walcott averages even less in England/Australia
Yeah, but Warner's also includes a good deal matches against minnowish sides as well somehow even flatter home tracks. Warner is not him. At home, Ashwin is comparable to Smith not Warner.

So many dogshit arguments being made for Willis, you all should be embarrassed to have wasted time and energy to put out ChatGPT-esque responses.
i forgot Willis was in the thread, shitting on Ashwin is too much fun.

To be more than a bit reductive on averages:
Warner averages 33 away. What do you think the equivalent away average for a spinner is?
Lets see…

During Warner’s career the average for an opening batsman away is 30.86 (I’m not doing away/neutral as an overall aggregate to fiddle around because **** that UAE and WTC) The average for a 1-6 bat is 33.24

During Ashwin’s career the average for spinners away was 38.00. However Ashwin never bowled beyond 5th spot so this should get rid of some part timers. So for bowling position up to 5 for spinners in Ashwin’s career we get 37.48 (36.31 for 4th or higher if you wanted to go that far)

So basically Yasir Shah was an average spin bowler away, while Warner was an average batsman away.
