We will see who is weak when the day of the trial comes...I just wish the trial was next week...infact tomorrow...this is gonna be an easy win for me

Only if the jury are as corrupt as the defendant, and they too believe in lies, cheating, dishonour and betrayal.

So you've now found evidence that you didn't support India then refuse to even retract the statements?

Because all the evidence points against that a great deal.

Or do you want it soon because otherwise you'll be due to retire again.

They would be a jury of aliens who do not understand the world of the XI..
But they would understand cricket and justice. Thus they would objectively listen to both parties and ultimately make their decision.

If it had been dealt with properly in the first place then there wouldn't be any problem.

Or if it had been dealt with properly on the second occasion...
As stated above. The trial was to go ahead a while back, but Nikhil retired.

If he plays again I fear that the fans may well burn down the PDV Dome and the Cricketweb oval. so by letting him play kerosene will be added.... by the fans who don't want this guy playing....
Strong words mate.. we will have to look into that.. you havent helped the situation in anyway by making those comments.. how disrespectful can you get..? Everyone can have their say ofcourse.. but in that case it is a far too extreme and you are taking things for granted..

LMAO... there is no way Nikhil will come out of retirement if the trial goes against him..

What I don't understand is how everyone is saying that the board is 'incompetent' and the like when they haven't supported Nikhil in any way. They're just going the correct and perfectly normal way about the situation - fair trial. Any person in the real world would also be put to some form of trial instead of going to an instant ban without a single question. Personally, although I support the idea of a fair trial (as I would for a person accused of cold blooded murder, let alone a cricket injustice), I don't think he has a snowball's chance in hell. I don't see why the board should be attacked over a decision that is common in worldwide justice systems. In fact, it's put in place to remove the idea of a corrupt justice system. Just because he's on trial doesn't mean he's going to win. Does nobody here know of such formalities as trials, and why they are often labelled 'formalities' for such cases as this?

For one, he'd be prevented from doing so by CWBCC ruling.

And why should that stop him?

He can still be found guilty in absentia.

Instead by "retiring" he has taken the sting out of the case and now the feeling is less hard towards him.

A very clever ploy.

Fair trial when he actually commited the crime then?

It's a long time since it (he's retired and come back twice now since then) so why was this trial not gone ahead with?

A parallel would be Ed Giddens - he retired, but was still convicted and punished.

Better late than never. I can understand them not going on with a trial originally since Nikhiln had 'retired' - however, I think after this trial is completed that a rule should be placed that stops people coming out of retirement within a certain period of time, if not forever, so that this hopefully won't happen again.

^ Most likely might happen aswell.. another thing that would be taken into discussion..

Because he had chosen to retire then..

Let's face it, it's the only way you're going to win, isn't it?
Am I missing something? How will they help him win any more than other people?

And as I said, that should have no effect on whether he has a trial or not.
Well what why would a trial be needed if he was indicating that he was going to choose leaving the CW Cricket system.. we would have rather put our efforts and energy into carrying everything else on.. and obviously when he chose to come back, he would face the trial , because that was what was going to happen if he didnt make his choice to leave.

If the trial was held back then, when the evidence was fresh in everyones minds, this situation would never of occured i guess?
