The reason people don't want a trial is because the board is only 2 people and they won't be taking everyone elses word, rather making their own decision between themselves. That's not really a fair way for things to be done, but that is the fear that I dare say most are holding. It was unanimous that people didn't want Nikhil to play and I for one can't believe it is even being considered again for this reason.

As Reuben said, the CWBCC is not the jury. Rich Twyman for one will serve jury duty. Ideally I'd like to get two others and if possible not have Reuben and me serve on the jury at all as that would be the fairest in the perception of all.

The fact that we're having a trial at all is taking everyone's views into consideration.

Just look at the number of people who've expressed an opinion on this and then tell us how.

It doesn't matter that you have big names and we don't. It doesn't matter that we aren't in the XI and you are. What matters is how well you prosecute and we defend, you annoying Southerner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In my initial post on the trial I said more will be revealed with time. We're still sorting out some of the specifics and when all is settled, a press release should be issued.

Well we never said the trial was next week.. infact it is quite a while away.. hence we were releasing information slowly after discussion etc.. and as liam said it will be released soon etc.. which was meant to be the upcoming week... We weren't just going to go "Bam! heres the trial , lets get going and done with"

First of all most of us wouldn't be in Nikhil's position because we are all passionate about our beloved CricketWeb XI. Secondly, we would have to accept the punishment, the crime is akin to match fixing.
