Wait, all you have to do to get weldone to stop replying to you is to just ask him nicely?

What would happen if all of us here on CW did that?

I'm assuming you have the same request. So, I won't reply to you either, thanks. If the list gets too long, then I'll struggle to remember all the names. Shri is a standout, but I already confuse ***** with a couple other Bangladeshi posters.

How jizzworthy would an India Pakistan test series be right now? Pakistan slight favourites imo, even if they play us in India.
I've been saying this for literally months. Has the potential to be one of the greatest series of all time.

If you have someone on your ignore list then not only do you not see any replies to you, you also don't see whatever inane drivel they post.

I wish posting had the power to make some series happen. Pakistan and India should be a regular thing like the ashes.

India are No 1. No One!

Perhaps Ganguly can cause a change in how we rank teams.

You can not be number 1 until you are very dominant. Anything else is No1*. Instead of us inferring the asterisk by circumstance, just actually append it to the rankings.

Then when Ganguly says Pakistan were No1 with an asterisk and suggest that India are No1 with an asterisk everyone would agree and see the difference between that sort of No1 and the West Indies and Australian type of No1

Seriously.....how good would it be to have India and Pakistan play now? Former number 1 versus current number 1 - number 1 versus number 2 - number 1 up for grabs. This is just insane that this wont happen. It's madness! Surely India can see a three month long, back to back in Pakistan and India, 6 test series 10 odi series, 6 t20 series worldwide cricket watching world ratings bonanza and ######MONEY###### can come from this. I need someone to blame so I can feel better about this injustice to the world.

Can we get this simmed?

can't believe that Ganguly of all people doesn't get the simple concept that you can be number 1 without being daylight ahead of others

Expected better of him
Funny comments from him given what I have seen of India in this series..if New Zealand were half a decent batting side, this series would have gone in a totally different direction..Indian test batting has never been as weak as I have seen in recent times.

yes, and the current lot are nowhere near as good players of spin as the likes of tendy, dravid, sehwag, laxman etc

India is probably the second best batting lineup in the world tbf. We have a pretty settled top 6, whle Australia, England, South Africa, Sri Lanka all have some really big question marks over some spots.

True but the Indian batting had been very strong for a long time. So while this batting is still good, but they are definitely a step down from a fair number of indian teams of the past decade

I'd say England definitely and arguably Pakistan look better batting lineups (their display in England changed my mind). Australia are clearly stronger in familiar conditions than their Indian counterparts, though that could be put down to their pitches being roads in comparison to the average Indian Test pitch these days.

SA is the wildcard. If Amla/AB/du Plessis are in form, they are the best bet to do well anywhere, and least affected by the conditions.
