Pretty much every team to reach world number 1 this decade have had some sort of harsh backslide. Maybe none this big but still. Australia and England were both swift.

No one is that far ahead of the rest. India will tour SA/England etc. next year and No. 1 will probably be up for grabs in those series as well.

But you know Pakistan would smash India if they got to play. It’s Pakistan, it doesn’t have to make sense.
