**Official** Zimbabwe in South Africa Thread

I am utterly appalled by this performance. I cannot believe that even this Zimbabwe team could play as badly as this. God damn it! What must the old Zimbabweans be thinking?

Supporting the teams I do I am used to defeat but what i cannot countenance is a complete lack of any kind of fight at all, complete destruction.

Straight after the dismissal for 54 Houghton came out and said Zimbabwe should step out of test cricket, so I would say they don't think much of it.

Knew there would be records made but this is ridiculous, i hope the ICC take note of this, because i bet the saffies are doing this to make a point and fair enough i say.

I didn't know that. Houghton's right. It's not like these guys don't have talent even!

Fastest 300 for a team in balls in test cricket? Anyone know?

South Africa did it in 262 here.
I can't believe it's been done quicker. This is almost in excess of ODI scoring.

Aside from maybe Streak and Taibu I wouldn't say they have a hell of a lot of talent. Maybe enough to play county cricket, but not enough for the test arena.

I agree, and I hope SA go on and absolutely pummel them to embarass the ICC into doing something, England probably should have done the same seeings as boycotting did nothing

County talent can be developed. I say Masakadza has test talent as well. He didn't get a hundred on his debut without being able to play. It's the fact that they don't even seem to have tried thats gets me angry.

Comfortably in excess of ODI scoring, if they passed 300 in the 44th over. If we're right that SA are deliberately making a point, then so much the better.

Oops, meant ODI record scoring.

Hmm. South Africa were 0/91 at tea, and have added 238 since then as I type with a few overs to go. Most runs in a session in test cricket? I know people have hit centuries in a session plenty of times (hell, Bradman his a triple century in a day), but 250+ in a session must be pushing even the 25 overs an hour days.
