I would be extremely surprised if Zimbabwe do win. Javed Omar, Rafique, Mashrafe and Tapash are all decent bats, and I can't see successfully Zimbabwe chasing over 350 in the 4th innings. Zimbabwe could barely touch Rafique in the first innings, I don't see how they are going to handle him in the second.
i actually think the zimbabwe batting lineup is quite good and rafique and to a lesser extent mortaza are bangladesh's only threatening bowlers, in saying that zimbabwe have lost two early wickets to none other than tapash baishya who looked anything but a test bowler against NZ on the same pitch earlier in the year, zimbabwe will definately have their work cut out getting this total but i'm not writing them off yet

Bangla will win. Easily. Dont you rate Mashrafe?

Mashrafe hasn't bowled as well this game as he did against India. Tapash has refound his form, if Enam lives up to his potential and Rafique keeps on doing what he does best, Bangladesh should have no problem breaking their duck

haven't seen an awful lot of him tbh, the zimbabwe batsman should be able to hold him out on a slow pitch though

There will be great anticipation in Chittagong tomorrow of a Bangladesh win. Should be achieved before Tea IMO.

Historic First Test win for Bangla !!

go zimbabwe, no doubt taibu will fight until he can no longer and he just needs some support from a couple of other batsman

Great... :( I guess if you "cleansed" all of Australia's cricketers, Bangladesh would have a historic victory against them too!

Mashrafe reached 146 in NZ i think, and that was early in his career, when he's fully recovered from all his niggles he should be faster

Zimbabwe 153/9 (63.1 overs)
Minimum overs
remaining today: 51.3

its now just a matter of time for Bangladesh's first test winning. Good job Bangladesh. Even though Rafiq is injured, Enamul took the charge.

Pratyush, I guess u still cannot forget the humiliating defeat that Bangladesh gave India last month, can you? Oh I forgot, you thought that was India B team too, right? I am so sorry to see indian team's depth is soo poor, that they cannot afford to drop 3/4 players against a team, which according to you worlds worst team ever.

Yeah beating a Zimbabwe B side is a huge achievement.

I knew some one would come up with this arguement as a last straw to show pride in the victory in the test match vs Zimbabwe B!

Bangladesh had all the reason to celebrate a win against India.

Beating Zimbabwe B here is nothing to rave about. This is surely the worst 'first' test win for a nation among all the ten test nations by a large margin.

Mind you, Bangladesh almost win a test against Pakistan and another against West Indies. So you should not take the credit from them. And current Zimbabwe team isn't that bad. You will see on their next match, whoever the opponent is.

Almost winning and winning arent the same. I would have applauded them had they won that match against Pakistan.

This test match though is clearly a disgrace for test cricket. Sure Rafique/some other Bangladesh players are of good quality but beating Zimbabwe is nothing to rejoice about.

I am not concerned how good this Zimbabwe side is. They are still Zimbabwe B. If beating the third best team of the 9th/10th best nation of a cricket country is reason o feel proud, do feel so.

Pratyush, this Zimbabwe side is not a 'B' side. It's the best side they can field at the moment, and whether or not they are as good as Australia or even as good as they were a year ago is irrelevant; it's the best side they can field. It may be a matter of semantics, but it isn't a 'B' side.

On another note, I really do think that Elton Chigumbura is a gem of a find.
