But where do you draw the line for the tiers?!

Also makes Mark RIchardson look like Viv Richards!bryce said:javed omer 43 off 258 balls at a strikerate below 17, which equates to scoring at one an over for 43 overs - that's a perfect innings when playing for a draw
You have to learn to crawl before you can walk. Previously Bangladesh would have lost a test when so far behind. Its probably the one of the longest times they have batted. They have shown alot of guts to draw this match and win the series. Maybe Bangladesh cricket is starting to toddle. I hope they continue to grow.Dizzy #4 said:Good on ya bangers! (Who knows who they are playing next)
Agreed. They actually have a number of fairly promising players. Most other minnow sides have struggled when they entered test cricket, but eventually produced a generation of "fair" players and become gradually more competitive before they finally start to find stars. India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka all did this, and Zimbabwe were managing that as well before the recent problems with the ZCU gutted the talent from their team. Hopefully this generation of Bangladesh players that includes the likes of Ashraful, Haque Jnr. and Iqbal will be at least "fair", on the world stage.crickmate said:well said mavric41.
according to ICC shcedule next they have an away series with India on April(Uncofirmed). Then an away series agains England on Jun/July. Also at the same time they will play in NatWest ODI series involving England, Australia & Bangladesh. I believe they will perform much better from now on.
Zimbabwe XI? I don't think so... b4 the crisis it was a one man show for them most of the time (Heath Streak)... and now its a one man show for them (Tatinda Taibu)... all the other players do somethink from time to time. So nothing really has changed...JASON said:The only man holding up this Zimbabwe 3rd XI.

I'm sure they would bat for a while if up against my club side, yeah.. This series means diddly squat.. Just a sad indication of how low things have sunk for Zimbabwe..mavric41 said:You have to learn to crawl before you can walk. Previously Bangladesh would have lost a test when so far behind. I am absolutely sad for the genuine Zimbabwean cricket fans who must be really desolate at the way their country's cricketing stature is going down the drain !!Langeveldt said:I'm sure they would bat for a while if up against my club side, yeah.. Enamul Haque Jr. would be close to it, 24 wickets from 5 tests (i know 18 were against Zimbabwe, but Hayden's 380 still counted), averaging 26.79... I hope the best for the youngster, might be the spark Bangladesh have needed since they were first a test nation.marc71178 said:I know they've won a game, but I think World Class is a bit of an exaggeration!
That's a good ideaSpaceMonkey said:Im surprise they didnt play a 5 test match series here. It would be a good experience for both teams who normally just get 2 tests when the other country is willing to squeeze them in as a filler for the main summer (ala England this summer). Plus 5 tests vs these 2 teams would be fairly close.
No, Haque wouldn't be close to World Class.Josh said:Enamul Haque Jr. would be close to it, 24 wickets from 5 tests (i know 18 were against Zimbabwe, but Hayden's 380 still counted), averaging 26.79...
