International Regular
bangladesh will require 252 to win, should be a good match seeing as most of the frontline bangladesh batsman normally take a bit of 'playing in' before they get going apart from aftab, will also be interesting to see if utseya can take wickets for once!

James90 mentioned that Rajin has a real problem with getting out in the forties. He's done it again today, making exactly 40!

I think thats his second - or possibly even his third - wicket.

I think hes just been unlucky in terms of taking wickets. Anyone who can keep it as tight as he does is BOUND to take wickets in one day cricket, even if they dont bowl genuine wicket-taking balls.

Utseya has registered what Im sure will be his best figures as he takes his second wicket of the match - the big wicket of Ashraful.

The game is all but over with Tapash and Mahmud at the crease requiring around 10 an over.

Last over dented Utseya's figures a bit... 10-1-37-2, 15 off the last over or 19 off the last 7 legal deliveries

And if the cricinfo commentator is right, thats the game.

48.1 Panyangara to Nazmul Hossain, no run, full toss, defends it back to
bowler and run for a quick single, Panyangara picks up and throw
towards the Taibu, who picks up and hits the stump with a great
dive, shout for run out, tv calls, Nazmaul Hossain short of
crease!

Good job Zimbabwe. They really played better.

But there were also some gifts to Zimbawe from Bangladeshi selectors. It was acceptable that they have given rest Rafiq and Mortaza. But rest of the decissions are all wrong.

#1. how they can include "out of form" kapali in a team which is already weak. They could take the risk some other day when there would have been Rafiq and Mortaza in the team.

#2. Enamul should have been include.

#3. All knows Zimbabwe is weak against spin. And yet selectors used only 1 spinner(who was not even playing for last 3 series)

If they want to come back on the second match, they should make a bowling powered team, rather than a batting team. Because their bowlers are quite good, in addition to taking wickets they scores good runs as well.

I think that was more a result of them being rested. When you rest players, someone else has to come in. Alok was the one who came in.

And although he failed with the bat, he bowled a tidy spell of 10 overs.

Alok Kapali 10 0 40 0 (1w)
umm, that does not look tidy to me. If he could take 1 wicket, then it would have been acceptable.

Also, he was selected on the team for batting not for bowling.
However I feel that, instead of Kapali, selectors should have included a bowler like Enamul or Rana. In addition to to taking wickets they are much more consistant with batting than kapali.

Ya, Josh, I agree with you. But when you claim yourself an allrounder, you have to be strong either at batting or bowling. While I agree Alok Kapali is a very talented player, but he should be given some time to become more mature. Let him get some big score in local matches and with Bangladesh A team. Then take him back.

4 an over isn't bad at all in an ODI
