^as an addendum to the above, I saw on another forum he once said Moeen Ali should do more in the community to stop terrorism? True or not, something about that is just so utterly Vaughan
Vaughan has loads of dodgy tweets - one about not being able to hear anyone speak English in London. He also wrote a supportive tweet about Trump. Another about Muslims should deradicalise each other post-Manchester Arena bombing. The guy has clear form for racism.

Dunno. The other day I saw some Muslim lads deradicalising each other using a suction pump, and that flat nozzle bit of the vacuum cleaner that you normally use for nooks and edges. It can be done, and I honestly feel they were all the better for having done it.

The weird thing is that for us that are old enough to remember people that genuinely saw horrible things in the War, most of them didn't want to talk about it, these weirdos that want to co-opt these people to them, really have no idea. Most voted to join the eU because they couldn't countenance another war like they were traumatised in, but ho-hum.
Interesting insight this actually

"But I didn't know a well-known racist term was racist!"

I was going to give him the benefit of the doubt but I suppose by 2010 there was already more than enough commentary about the acceptability of it being used for Tottenham for anyone with an interest in sport to be aware of it.

Or maybe he really thought it was fairly innocuous? You tell me Kevin, you live there bruv.

No chance that it's just Yorkshire that have this sort of ****e going on. The sport is too white and Conservative in England for it to be isolated to just Yorkshire.
It's pretty much the exact same **** that went on at my cricket club in Melbourne in the mid 00s (albeit not any more, I'm relieved to note having gone back to the club after a 15 year hiatus). I went along with it at the time but resented it for years and still do. There's probably loads of people from cricket clubs on both sides of the pond, both professional and amateur, reading this stuff and hopefully cringing.
