Think all of the Indian seamers looked dangerous yesterday and I reckon Bumrah is going to be challenging today if there's play.

Would dearly love a massive Taylor/Williamson partnership.

he's 27. traditionally he's about to have his ***y, ***y peak.
Not to get all wrist slitty here but he's not looked that amazing since the stress fracture. He was good in Australia before looking half fit at sydney but apart from that, he's bowled ok but nothing like pre injury bumrah.

Yeah he is extremely unsuitable for swinging conditions, from the looks of it. So is Shami, tbh. We miss Siraj and Bhuvi. :(

So , how much overs do NZ need to force a result in this game ?
Lead of 150 plus bowling out India within 150.
So , NZ need to score 250 runs more (100 overs) and dismiss India inside 60 overs. So total 160 overs needed.

Yup.

This would be ideal.

250 runs will be very hard to come by, of course.

seems like the only window of rainlessness is from 12 to 3 PM BST. :( Hoping we get some 40 odd overs in somehow at least.
The groundsman has said it takes 3 hour to get the ground ready after extended rain, so I will be surprised if any play is possible today.

Day 5 and 6 look fine and should get a full complement of overs in. So, from NZ's point of view, bat all of day 5 and get as big a lead as possible, then have a crack at India day 6.

Fully expecting a fightback today from Indian bowlers -an early breakthrough of one or two wickets would turn the tables to bring some balance to the match or perhaps in India's favour as they aren't the team to bat last on a 5th or 6th day wicket in this case

Did New Zealand miss a trick by not sending in Wagner late? He could have resumed whenever play starts again and have a swing. New Zealand needs to up their run rate now that they have established a foundation.
