Yeah this was always a bit of a concern.The composition of England’s attack also was quite unlike India’s in this game to say the least, so two sides to the prep coin i guess.

Southee spanked at 5 an over. Henry / Boult pairing had the psychological wood over India still following on from the WC semi final. NZ should have made the smart selection/s for this game, not the ‘pecking order’ - don’t upset the clique selection/s.

Selection is fine. Execution maybe not so much but credit to India. They've been very discplined in their approach. Left when they need to, fairly positive when needed.

He's been at it for a while. Is getting better with time but sounds awful when he is faking it.

Definitely a class marker. Unsure how much it's to do with affectation vs that's how they're taught to speak at the nice schools that are named after a saint/British Governor. ***iness makes up for it IMO.

Used to sound faker when he was playing, he spends a lot of time in England though so he probably subconsciously made a change.

I think I do it a lot too because I don't have a default accent and the Singlish accent is awful.

Bowlers need to calm down a bit and focus on 4th stump. But credit to both Gill and Sharma, the walking down the pitch tactic has worked for sure.
