Short ball in England unless you're Archer is quite useless. We're just a bit off plan at the moment. Maybe a bit impatient.
It's because Gill's been coming down the wicket. Good batting tbh. Boult not in rhythm enough and his bouncer not slippery enough to pin him back.

NZ's lengths not very consistent so far, though India have partly earned that by walking down the wicket a bit.
As has usually been the case lately, Southee more on the spot than Boult, who's only bowling about two per over in the testing zone.

Edit: Much better over from Boult

Yeah, barring the 2nd innings at Edgbaston patience usually did it against England.

One brings two, just need one wicket and we're off. There's a lot in the air and off the pitch. India is batting well. Fair enough but if we keep it in the right areas long enough it'll come.

Yeah but you pull the length back a bit which is what boult is good at. Going short on England soft pitches it just sits up.

Yeah we've definitely gone searching a bit here. Really need to settle into good, disciplined areas, I reckon both these batsmen will throw the hands at one if we just dot them up for a couple of overs.
