Some things I said yesterday you guys were not happy to hear

Only one team had a chance to win yesterday i.e us and the same applies for today. Our tail is pretty good, generally bails us out and yesterday wasn't any different. CDG as I have consistently said doesn't deliver with the bat when needed. I know he goes out to score runs every time but he just doesn't click when we desperately need him. He is quite a good bat but resorts to slogging like a no. 11 I don't see much future for CDG.

Kane could have had better intent but if he didn't blunt the attack like he did yesterday we would have probably given India 30/40 runs lead and about 90 runs ahead overnight India would have been in the box seat. I think we have come to a stage where we can't lose. Nothing different from what it was yesterday.

Indians did bowl well particularly Shami, he looked like picking wickets every time he bowled. Rest were all right, nothing extraordinary. If we get to chase 150 we will probably get it.

I watched the stream for an hour and it was clearly audible the whole time, basically every ball as the bowler was coming in, someone hurling abuse at the NZ batsmen.. Kane's was more audible, stuff like "oh Williamsons back TO BORE US!" but the stuff directed at Ross seemed more garbled (maybe deliberately so).

I don't know how it would've sounded to the NZ players - the guy might've been near a camera mic - but if I was near that guy in the crowd I probably would've been a 'wowser' and got an official to have a word with him for being an obnoxious prick.

Yeah, this is some amazing levels of cricket in what are really almost nightmarish conditions for batting. As someone posted earlier, this is the swing equivalent of the Ahmedabad D/N test and it just shows how good both batting sides have been that we have seen them both score more than 200 here.

I think @hendrix took offence to me suggesting any visiting side in the spin equivalent of these conditions like Ahmedabad D/N test would be rolled for a 100. To clarify, if this did happen in say Dubai and conditions and pitch were equally loaded in favor of the spinners, I do expect NZ to make 200 coz their batting is quality even against top quality spin, and they were not far from this level even in 2016 when they lost 3-0 in India. The only issue would be the lack of spinners on their side to pose similar questions at the Indian batsmen.
