LOL what does the men's team crapping their pants in the last few semifinals and finals have to do with anything? It's nothing to do with focus.. India beating Australia or England will be an upset. They'll probably have to beat them both back to back to win the title which is a very tough ask.. they came very close in the 2017 event but fell short against England in the final.
England have been unimpressive. I'd be more surprised if England win their semi than if South Africa do it

Showing my ignorance here, but were the groups based on pre-tournament rankings of any sort?

It just felt like 3 of the top 4 teams (to my knowledge) were crammed in one group, and then I checked the current world rankings and I was right. Of course if NZ weren't the affected team it probably wouldn't have occurred to me.

I was wondering that too. All due respect to South Africa and well done to them for making the semi-finals, but we outplayed them in our recent T20 series and I would have liked our chances of beating them in this tournament.

i suspect it was based on the standings from the last tournament, when WI reached the semis.

it's not quite fair but then again WI have reached the semis in the last five tournaments and NZ in two, so they kinda deserved their seeding. And they don't play that often (because WICB) so the rankings aren't entirely fair on them

Gonna be very hard for Australia to find the right team balance without Perry. She's a hel of a talent to try to replace - opening bowler and top five bat with it.

Yeah. She has been the lynchpin of Australia's strength over the last few years.

At least Mooney is finding some form. Seriously, someone needs to tell her than every game is a knockout. She's so clutch.

From an entertainment perspective (although sadly there are no on-field mics in this tournament), I'd love nothing more than a random call-up for Grace Harris.

Topping the league table, Indian women team. So far going exactly like Men's team.

i guess the gym decides when to bestow you the honour of letting you use the name?
Not sure. I've heard some people say that usually fighters who are raised in the gym, away from the family, are the ones made to carry the gym name when they eventually fight. But I guess for top tier fighters who move around it's something they work out like a sponsorship deal. Saenchai owns his own gym, so his last name is his gym name lol, but recently he's out training in Fairtex and he doesn't carry their name so idk
