Does anyone else - in men's or women's - play the ramp like Beth Mooney? It feels like it's an unusual technique to hold the back V of the bat like that.

i have lost all respect for Womens cricket after seeing the Aus under 19's championships here in Canberra earlier this month, the boundaries are so small. They are only another 15 meters bigger than the inner circle i play on!
It's normal to feel disappointed when expectations aren't met in sports. However, it's crucial not to generalize about an entire sport based on one experience, especially when comparing different age groups and competition levels.

Consider these points:

  1. U19 Level: Women's U19 cricket aims to develop young players. The adjusted boundaries cater to their physical capabilities and skill levels. Comparing it to senior men's cricket doesn't accurately reflect the strengths of each level.
  2. Inner Circle Size: Different grounds have varying dimensions. Comparing U19 boundaries to a specific inner circle may not be fair. Senior women's cricket has larger boundaries, which also vary by format and location.
  3. Focus on Skills and Development: Women's cricket has evolved significantly. Concentrating solely on sixes overlooks the diverse skills and strategies involved. Judging the sport based on boundary size can be overly simplistic; there's much more to appreciate in the game.

I mean, the run rate isn't THAT high, and both of these two are set, and can bat. Crazier things have happened in the past few weeks.......

I love the stat that it's only the second time they've lost at home when batting second since 2009......should probably be known as the 'Lanning Sequence'.
