These are opportunities for the likes of Bouchier, Kemp and Gordon to step up. England have allowed some pretty complacent selection recently. But then you can argue it's justified if the alternatives don't perform. I'd like to see Bess Heath get a game but I doubt Jones will ever get rotated. Cross was very poor today as senior bowler notwithstanding the low chase.

What a great performance from Sri Lanka. Nice to see them developing a little bit of depth behind Chamari.

Seems like there's plenty of demand for English players in the WBBL draft tonight. Predictably just the three NZers picked up (Kerr x2, Devine).

Not sure why Fatima Sana didn't start for Pakistan yesterday. Still a convincing win for them against SA.

Admittedly it's a changed squad, missing the best batter in the world, but how did most of this side almost beat Australia? This is embarrassing. The senior players in this squad have been a serious let-down.

England got Chamari'd but once again there were contributions from others as well, particularly other bowlers. Good signs.

It was the bowlers in both games which set it up for SL. Or rather it may have been more the woeful English batting which did it. Bouchier's run out of Capsey would be unfair to compare to Village. Jones needs to be dropped (not sure why Heath wasn't given an opportunity), Knight shouldn't play T20 anymore. It also goes to show how dependent they are on NSB, Ecclestone and Bell.

Congrats to SL, well deserved, but a horror show from England.

Well done SA ladies for the ODI series victory in Pakistan. Nice comeback after losing the T20 series

Or not. Charlie Dean put paid to that. She's developing into a really fine cricketer.
She certainly is, the other real finds of the Summer have been Filer and Gaur. With the retirements of Brunt and Shrubsole, it's good to see we have a strong battery of fast bowlers now. Also, Bouchier looks to have nailed down the batting spot that Dunkley was wasting.

The biggest issue is keeper. Jones' glovework is going backwards whilst her batting has fallen off a cliff. There's an opportunity for someone there, a shame they didn't give the gloves to Heath yesterday.
