Aus bowling, especially seam bowling, has looked very iffy for quite a while now. Not too surprising that it's eventually come back to bite us in a big series.

Yeah no idea why they don't get Jonassen/Gardner on quickly and try and stem the flow. Brown is a wicket-taker but goes the distance quite often and Perry isn't really a front-line bowler anymore
Not sure if Healy just isn't that tactically astute or just places too much faith in the quicks

Btw where's Alana King been recently? Played the Test match but hasn't been playing since

Given that Tammy and Winfield Hill can keep wicket why do England persist with Jones, who regularly fails with the bat?

Brilliant win and what a knock from Heather Knight with a great cameo from Kate Cross.

We've come back from the dead and look the better team now - still need to win remaining games but they've shown great character to level the series.

I sense just a very slight decline in the Australian team, not much, but one or two "experienced" players may be under the pump quite soon.

It seems to be more than just slight if you ask me. If the England Ladies hadn't seemingly been taking fielding practice from the Men's team they'd have won this easily. Healy is having a poor series, so too Schutt. Seemed odd not to give the new ball to Schutt when it's likely to swing more.

@Spark mentioned the seamers and he's bang on. Yesterday they bowled 20 overs between them for 2-151!! Darcie Brown is young and will develop, but not sure I'd swap her for any of Wong, Bell or Filer (all 22 or under). The rest are all medium pace all rounders.

They may well turn it around and win the next two, but you can certainly see some hope for other teams in the next few years.

Yep, all spot on. The batting reserves are strong still but Aus could be a team in transition.

England have lost key seamers over the last few years but the reserves are coming through.

A couple of individuals not having a great series, I wonder if there'll be changes for the next ODI?

Healy and Schutt were the two "experienced" players I was thinking about.

There isn't really a great deal of options though. Harris is just another batting all rounder (got plenty already), King a spinner who doesn't bat as well as the other spinners. The only real possible change is Garth for Schutt or Brown.

Not sure if this is the right thread. Just tuned into the game and AUS seem to have lost Mooney and Perry was lucky to not get caught behind just now.

I think it's Litchfield that's out. Mooney batted at four in the last game (and top-scored with 81 not out), so she'll probably be in next.
